Producer wants Sawyer for Gambit
In a recent interview for IESB.net Lauren Shuler Donner talked about up and coming projects including Wolverine, Magnito, Constantine and X-Men.
One of the highlights for all us Lost fans is that she is still very keen on having Gambit played by Josh Holloway (aka Sawyer from Lost) in one of the next X-Men Films.
Here's what she said.
ESB: Will we ever see Gambit?
LSD: Probably, you know, the reason we didn't use Gambit was because in a sense his persona is a bit like Wolverine in that he's got attitude and his power is not quite as exciting as the others. That's why we went to Nightcrawler on 2 because he looked different than everybody else and he had a great power. So yes, I think we would weave Gambit within our story, it wouldn't be “The Gambit Movie.” I mean, I love him and remember in “Lost” the guy, what's his name, there was a guy in there that was the perfect Gambit, the guy with the straight hair, good-looking, the bad boy, Sawyer, Sawyer [Josh Holloway]. (A lot of Lost forums have been buzzing about this casting rumor for some time).

Josh Halloway will be the perfect Gambit!
Gambit must "MUST" be in X-Men 4, I mean he is a great character and fans want to see him in action kicking ass with the rest of the X-Men Crew.

Yeah god damn right, he is the perfect Gambit for sure!. No one else will do, they have balls up the xmen films but excluding some great characters, they need to pull their finger out and talk to the fans!!!
