There are a few things you can do to customise the way Cult Press articles are displayed on your website, such as formatting the text to fit in with the rest of your design or changing the way the links open.

Formatting appearance

It is relatively simple to format the appearance of the text and images using CSS styles. In your stylesheet, you will need to create styles for:
div.feedBurnerFeedBlock
div.feedBurnerFeedBlock p.feedTitle
div.feedBurnerFeedBlock span.headline
div.feedBurnerFeedBlock p.date
div.feedBurnerFeedBlock img
div.feedBurnerFeedBlock div.creditfooter
div.feedBurnerFeedBlock div.creditfooter img

For example:
div.feedBurnerFeedBlock p.feedTitle { font-family: verdana; color: blue; }

Changing settings

There are a number of ways you can modify the content and appearance of Cult Press on your website, and all you need to do is change the JavaScript URL from earlier. The base URL is
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CultPress?format=sigpro

  • To limit the number of articles displayed, add the following to the end of the URL (replacing X with the number of articles you want):
    &nItems=X
  • To display excerpts of the articles as well as the headlines, add the following to the end of the URL:
    &displayExcerpts=true
  • To display the publication dates, add the following to the end of the URL:
    &displayDate=true
  • To load links into the same window (rather than a new window), add the following to the end of the URL:
    &openLinks=same

For example, with these options combined you may have the following URL:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CultPress?format=sigpro&nItems=10&displayExcerpts=true&displayDate=true&openLinks=same
