Extras creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant must face each other for the best TV actor category at the British Comedy Awards. Peep Show double act David Mitchell and Robert Webb are also in the running for best actor, and their show is listed with Extras under best comedy.
Catherine Tate is up for best actress while Ant and Dec, Harry Hill and Paul Merton compete for top personality.
The awards will be presented in London by Jonathan Ross on 13 December.
